    QUEEN ANNE CRAFTSMAN

Rob and Ann live a modern, fast-paced life with full time careers, 2 kids and a live-in nanny. Cooking and gathering for meals is especially key for their grounding as a family, and they were feeling restricted and frustrated by their inefficient, closed off kitchen + eating area.

Introspecs completely redesigned the kitchen, including efficient, well-functioning work zones, raising windows to gain more counter space along the wall while preserving garden views, enlarging the opening to their neighboring dining room, and most importantly, creating a place to eat together as a family.

The 2nd level laundry/catch-all room was also going unused and being such a large space in a central traffic zone, we capitalized on reinventing the multi-purpose nature of the space to draw the family upstairs for reading and lounging. We achieved a space that not only houses guests, but also includes a stackable laundry area behind a sliding barn door; a large built-in work desk with a dresser for guests’ belongings and a cozy library corner housing kids’ books and board games.
