Introspecs is seeking an interior designer to join our collaborative + dynamic team. We’re a small but growing interior architecture and design firm focused on modern design for real people. We listen carefully to our clients and communicate clearly with all our partners so that our projects end up looking great and delivering exceptional functionality and durability. While most of our work is modern, whether mid-century Scandinavian or bohemian, we love working with historic homes and period details.
As a designer at Introspecs you will work hard, but receive loads of feedback, praise and support. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow your skills and to be creative. More specifically, you’ll:
• work closely with other designers and with our principal designer
• communicate with clients, contractors, craftspeople, and vendors
• contribute to all stages of the design process including initial meetings, proposals, design boards, drafting, and project management
• work in AUTOCAD
• create 3D models (CAD, SketchUp, Revit etc…)
• create lighting and electrical plans
• source FF&E
• design casework + cabinetry
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about design + people, who is hungry to learn, and who is not afraid to be challenged and step outside of your comfort zone. We value listening + observation because these help build relationships and gather the information needed to create great user-centered design. Stellar communication skills are absolutely essential as these enable effective collaboration and client interaction. We’re a small outfit, so you’ll need to be comfortable wearing many different hats.
Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Interior architecture. Recent graduates on up to 1-3 years experience.
