    INTROSPECS COPENHAGEN

I’m so excited to share some really big news: I’m moving to Copenhagen at the end of this month!!! Virginia Gormley, Senior Interior Designer extraordinaire, will manage Introspecs design projects on the Portland front, while I’ll support her remotely from abroad…in the beautiful, stunning, design mecca of Copenhagen! Can you tell I’m excited?! If you haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting or working with Virginia, she is wonderful! She’s got a keen design sense, laser focus + an ability to get things done, and she’s loads of fun.

My husband, David, has a great career opportunity, and the siren song of Scandinavian design and European living proved irresistible. I’m so looking forward to this adventure, even though I don’t yet know exactly what it will hold. For sure, it will be an amazing opportunity to learn even more about modern design and to gather inspiration + ideas. Even the simple business of setting up a new, smaller-scale apartment is a chance to let go of things that don’t serve us any longer + ask ourselves, “What do we really need, and does it make us feel happy?” 😉

As I pack and prepare, I’ve also been sorting out my thoughts, and naturally, bittersweet feelings. Thanks to all of my clients, collaborators, and partners – the past 13 years have been incredible, and all because of you! It’s honestly been a joy + an honor to design spaces and houses for so many families and individuals, thank you for your trust + allowing me to be a part of your family for awhile. I’m excited for this next stage of Introspecs. We’ve got a great formula: clean + functional modern design, unparalleled listening, and attention to the design process. Virginia will be moving forward with the same approach, and of course, she’ll be adding her own personality and sensibility.

I’ll be sharing updates of our life’s happenings on @introspecscph + the occasional blog post, and I’ll be working with Virginia closely.

I’ve always preferred see-you-laters to goodbyes, and I don’t really think of this in that way….this is more sort of a new hello: “Hej!”

    ❤️❤️❤️ Allisen
